(spunkster's cal. post)
I've had my S300 for about a month now. It's starting to get hot and humid. In the afternoons I'm having trouble getting my car to start with the S300. I need to rev to 2000rpm for about a min. so that the car will stay running by itself. If I don't do this it will die immediately after initial start up. I also have problems getting the car started after refueling. The last three times I refueled the car had similar symptoms as the initial start up problem. The last time I filled up I reved to 2000rpms and waited until it would run by itself and then began to drive. As I left the service station the cars rev limiter was set at 5000rpms and the check engine light came on. Fearing something bad I pulled over and reinstalled the stock ECU. When I got home from work I reinstalled the S300 and the CEL was gone and the calibrations were back to normal. Car still running fine. I apologize for not having much more info. Next time I go to fill up; I'll bring my PC so I can check more in depth. Does anyone have a problem similar to this? Any suggestions as to the problem? Thanks.
Once I get the chance I will let you know what the CEL was.
Starting problems
I will try. I noticed when i datalogged the startup, the ing. graph goes up to 3 and drops out. During normal start up it goes to 32 drops to 24 then a second later to 22. Is there a sensor that reads something during refuel that could mess with ing timing? From above did you have this problem during refueling or all the time?
