D16y8 vtec point and launch control

Post by TV051205 »

Hello I have a D 16 Y8 with a low compression built motor currently running naturally aspirated I know it’s not ideal but I don’t have the money to get the rest of the turbo kit put together but i’m trying to adjust VTEC to activate at 4000 instead of 5600 but I can’t get it to activate anywhere but 5600 if anyone could send me settings to get the VTEC to properly activate when I want to or to keep it locked on at all times that would be greatly appreciate, I also have been trying to set up my two step to get some pops and bangs but I can’t get anything with two step to seem like it’s actually adjusting I’ve tried enriching the fuel as well as retarding time and nothing sounds different

Are you uploading the calibration to the ECU after you make changes?

If you set a really low Rev limit of 2600 RPM, does it rev limit at that RPM?

For which setting, for launch control? My launch control RPMs changed to what I sent them to but I can’t get the ignition timing to change it seems as well as I cannot seem to get VTECRPM to change it just seems like certain points are not working on the car, I do have an idle issue where I’m idling at like 2000 RPMs because of a couple of air leaks which I’m getting sorted out soon

Not launch control. Just try setting a low rev limit to see if that works.
