Sooo, long story short. I picked up a parts car, primarily for the body panels because previous owners of my main project dented it all to h*ll.
Like I said, PRIMARILY, for body panels, the seller through in some extra pieces. He said he gave me a Hondata ECU, but after further inspection, it looked like an ordinary ECU. So I texted him and asked calmly, said that I didnt care very much but it would've been kind of cool, and he said it was Hondata chipped in a regular ECU.
Can someone please shed some light on what in the world that means? Obviously he probably means a CPU, but is there a forum somewhere I can do some research? Does Hondata sell a standalone chip or did they Frankenstein an ECU from a Hondata sold one???

If it weren't obvious, I would like to add that I'm new to the Hondata/Tuning/Modding world, thank you in advance 🙂.

Re: 2004 Civic LX Sedan ECU Question
That is not a Hondata ECU and that ECU is not compatible with any Hondata products.
