s.trim adjustment during idle

Post by Honda_TypeS_10 »

Hello Spunkster,

Quick question, after adjusting my LOW fuel and HIGH fuel from driving around with autotune in open loop. I'm now in closed loop (MAP based tune).

During idle, my Short Term Fuel Trim is around +10% to +12%. Is it okay to increase my Injector dead times to lower the S.trim to 0%?

You should make sure the dead times are set correctly as the first thing as any changes you make will alter the tuning everywhere.

Should I adjust fuel FIRST and then adjust dead times, or am I supposed to adjust dead times FIRST and then adjust fuel second?

dead times should be set first as changing them will alter how it runs and negate any other changes that have been made.

Do you have any tips on how I can adjust dead times before fuel adjustment because when loading my base map, the s.trim is all over the place from not adjusting fuel. I do recall reading in the help section that I should add 4% fuel which I did in the very beginning as well. Using premium gas.

I also checked voltage and turned on headlights, rear defroster, and lightly pressed brake to see the s.trim changes.

Find the correct dead times for your injectors then use the trim to get things close and then adjust individual tables in the areas needed to fine tune.
