Torque table question for DE5

Post by DomGSR-T »

Hi,

Using the 93 octane map and setting the 2nd gear torque table for sport+ mode to lower value (250 max at 100% tps) I get 26-27 BP CMD... and massive spin... Do I need to change something else to get this to work? The boost by gear method works btw...

Sorry if it seems like a dumb question but are you sure you were in Sport+ mode? I see your other 2 2nd gear tables (comfort and sport mode) are requesting 600nm in 2nd gear.

Yes :) I have noticed this issue for a while now and created that map just to show the problem I have...

what happens if you set all 3 of the 2nd-gear throttle maps to what you've set for the 2nd gear R? If it works as expected, then there could be a bug in FPM or something else.

because as it is, you can see from this logs (and this screenshot) that the ECU is making a Torque Request of 100% which indicates it's reading a value of 600Nm from a throttle map (obviously not the one you've put in the calibration) when you go WOT .

Ok I found the problem!

2 tables are mixed up... I tested all the gears with 250 lowered torque values in comfort mode and the boost was low/limited on all gears...
Then tried the same thing with 250 lowered torque values in sport mode... did not work... I was at full boost... I switch to sport+ then boost was low/limited on all gears...

So sport and sport+ torque tables are mixed up :) I think this a an easy fix...I don't know if it's only for the DE5 though...

yeah it seems like that's something that needs to be corrected in FlashPro Manager. Better yet, since this is a calibration specific to the DE5, the tables should probably be relabled to match the modes that are displayed for the DE5 vs FL5/FK8 in order to avoid any such confusion.

If it's possible to simply relabel the existing tables in FlashPro Manager so they're connected to the correct mode that should be sufficient without requiring reflashing, is that correct?
