so, the auto tune facility on the hondata s300.
is it actully any good? or are there problems with it under/over ajusting from the user defined pre-set a/f ratios?
for example alot of other tuneing sites and articles show you how to manualy ajust the a/f ratios to suit (like the hondata wideband tuning guide it shows how you should manualy subtract/add fuel depending on how much the wideband is telling you are over/under the gaol a/f ratio on a certain load point)
is it unadvisable to make a rich base map then just flip the s300 onto auto tune and have the unit ajust the a/f ratios as best as it can then you manualy ajust them to near perfect from there (or rarther where you would actully want them). ?
if there are problems with the auto tune or why alot of people do not use it i would like an explanation as to why if it is possiable. i understand it probably wont work with w.o.t as noted in the tuning guide it stipulates that if it runs lean at wot its advisable to add fueling to more cells before the cell it actully starts to lean off in and see if that makes a diffrance (im guessing the autotune would not be able to ajust the fueling in previous load points). have people actully tuned a car from a rich base map with the autotune facility?
on a side note the tps enrichment value, i notice it is advisable to disable that for part throttle tuning to stop it dumping in fuel ontop the base map values. with regards to the tps settings how specificly does this work as it just shows 1 value for the tps regardless of how much the throttle is opened? is the vaule ajustable depending on how far the throttle is opened or is it just a set value regardless of how far the throttle is opened?
tuning info.
