H22a4 stock timing map.

Post by Red94ex »

Need help guys I bought a car with H22a4 (first time messing with a H series) in it and have since trying to fix all the stuff that was wrong with this thing. (Cam timing was off, ignition timing was off, valves were adjusted too tight, just to name a few things) but I have got this thing running and driving smooth as a sewing machine now. My only thing is that this thing feels weak. Like weaker than I think it should be. I know it’s no power house but I just feel it should be performing better than it is. I haven’t got it completely 100% dialed in but cruising is between 14.0-14.5 slowly tapering down to 12.5-12.8 at wot. Holds afr great all through the rpms. I don’t have a good timing map for this thing (using the hondata supplied timing map for H22) and I’m sure it’s not 100% right. So if anyone could help me with a decent timing map that would be awesome. Sorry I’m new here so I don’t know how to upload or download a file on here. And I’m not completely convinced that a timing map is gonna fix this thing completely but I know it should help. Any other pointers or thing to look for as to why this thing feels lazy. Also I may add that vtec crossover is super loud and tune on the crossover fuel wise is spot on. And it does pick up a lil bit but like I said just not performing how it should I don’t think. Any help or pointers is appreciated.
