Hello Hondata Team,
I have a Hondata s300 that has been unresponsive and any calibration cannot be uploaded. It was last used way back in 2018.
Symptoms are:
1. Upon plugging it in without the ecu D4 lights up and does not turn off.
2. Red light (D4) keeps blinking.
3. Upon plugging in the USB cable, the D3 LED lights up for 2 seconds then turns off.
4. SManager does not upload and can only download calibration from the s300. Upload is greyed out from Smanager and can only click on the blue information button, open a calib file, set bluetooth options, password, and edit the registered owner.
5. Smanager reads the data under s300 information and was able to detect the
information below:
Version: 3
Status: Normal
Processor: NXP
Status: Normal
RAM Test: Passed
Datalogging memory test: Passed
Flash Memory: 32MB
Serial No: 49741
Bluetooth: Passed
EPA/CARB: No
Firmware version: 24
Firmware OK: Yes
Software version: 2.7.3
Registered: Yes
Security Password: Yes
Upload Security Password: Yes
6. All symptoms are the same even if the s300 is installed in the ecu. Tried with other hondata s300 and it works fine with the ecu so the ecu is good.
7. Onboard datalogging is also disabled.
8. Tried two different ECUs that are running good with a different hondata s300 v3 and switched with 3 laptops and it is still behaving the same.

Re: S300 v3 non EPA issues
The software is out of date. You need to download the latest version at: https://hondata.com/software?route=info ... nformation
Re: S300 v3 non EPA issues
Thank you for the prompt reply @spunkster.
It shows 2.7.3 under the information window for the s300. However I am using the latest version from the Hondata website which is 2.8.9. I think this is a the cause of the problem. Is there any way we can force a firmware upgrade on this? I am located in the Philippines right now so RMA is not an option. Please see the attached photo for your reference.

Re: S300 v3 non EPA issues
When new software is installed, all you need to do is plug in the USB to the s300 to update the firmware. There is no manual way to update it.
You can try using a different laptop and see if that helps. If it will not update, then the only option will be to have us take a look at it here.
