Issue after 4.5.1 software+Firmware update.

Post by Albertpol239 »

Hello, having issues ever since updating to 4.5.1 and updating the firmware along with it for 06-11 Civic Si tuner. After firmware was updated it said it was going to download and reupload calibrations for new firmware but when uploading the downloaded cals its fails saying "This is not the vehicle FlashPro was locked to.". I tried uploading the cals I had saved on my computer as well with same message with that method too. Don't know what to do and could use help. Was plugged in working, tuning, and logging the car before this and just started downloading datalogs before the update. hope this didn't brick my Flashpro and not aware of anyways to revert firmwares.

With everything plugged in and the ignition in the on position, go to the Help menu and click on “send feedback”. Include a detailed description of the issue.

I have done the "Send Feedback" option with this issue multiple times with detailed description on the issue that is still continuing to affect my flashpro with no response. I've also tried new flashpro software updates (Currently 4.5.5) hoping new firmware update to Flashpro would make a change yet it didn't. Tried to unlock the flashpro but says that its not the vehicle the flashpro was locked to yet in Flashpro security drop down menu its the same Vin on both vehicle and flashpro.

Could really use some answers, help, fixes as im unable to do anything between vehicle and flashpro at the moment all stemming from updating the software which in turn updated the firmware. Have pictures of vin on vehicle, vin in flashpro that its locked with, and serial number but won't post it up here.

According to the feedback and images you posted, the ECU is not connected and the OBD2 is not connected. The last upload the ECU went into recovery mode as well.

The OBD is connected and showing 11.97 volts, shows connected to OBD but not ecu, and ECU hasn't nor is in recovery mode. I have been driving and currently driving the vehicle with old firmware cals and datalogging to make adjustments and when i plugged it in to pull logs I got prompted with a update for software which i did before doing anything and afterwards is when I ran into these issues. I have yet to try and see if I could switch between the stored cals on flashpro without the computer as im nervous it may brick my ECU. When i open the flashpro tab it shows both the vehicles VIN from ECU along with the locked VIN which both match so its reading ECU. I will DM you another detailed view off the forums.

says obd connected and is able to read the vin on ecu but also says ecu not detected or not same vin when they both match up while also saying last upload was "ok". not only that when trying to download and reupload saved cals to new firmware version its unableto upload saying its not for same vehicle its locked to (8th gen SI) even when trying a fresh tune out of flashpro software to the Flashpro unit itself when not connected to the vehicle.

Ive been using Kpro and Flashpro for the past 5 years consectuivly and know the workings very well, enough to know what recovery mode looks like and how to get the flash to properly set in that case. I also know when its connected to the ECU for datalogging purposes, cals, and live data. Ive been using Hondata products and software long enough and thoroughly enough to know this is a deeper issue that me not connecting it, loading wrong data, or something on my end I may've goofed up as everything was fine and operating as it should right up to download new flashmanager > flashmanager updating firmware on flashpro > manager downloading saved cals to reuploud for new firmware version > Failing from that point until now over a month later (Started July 11th)

Have you checked your fuses as the ECU is not being detected and does not appear to be powered up. Double check the ECU plugs.

My Autel Scanner is able to access the ecu, read the vin, get into all the control modules, and pull live data views with no issue through the same OBD port and vehicle is running just fine.
