S2000 Hitting artificial rev limit/power cut randomly above 6200 RPM
I have an issue with my 2003 S2000 running Kpro v4 Serial number 40523.
The car has been randomly hitting a rev limit/power cut above ~6000-7000 rpm, especially when the car is fully up to temp or hot from a drive. I've checked everything I can think of including the spark plugs, plug gap, coils, map, TPS, O2 and TDC sensors. I've also asked a mechanic to check over the car and he said he can find nothing mechanically wrong with the car. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out what is going on since there is no CEL and no code.
The power cut/rev limit happens randomly but I did manage to get a data log of it happening twice. I've attached the log and my map. Any suggestions on solving this problem are welcome.
Here is the list of mods on my car...
Hytech Header
Hytech Exhaust
SoS Stage 2 (AEM) Intake
93 Octane tune
Hondata Kpro v4 Serial number 40523
Science of Speed Tuner kit
3.8 Pulley
Hondata 4 BAR MAP
DW 1065 injectors
Sooon Venturi 70mm bore/66mm butterfly

Re: S2000 Hitting artificial rev limit/power cut randomly above 6200 RPM
Does this vehicle have a separate Hondata traction control system installed?

Datalog with both USBs connected and post those logs and calibration.

I think I caught it in these two logs. At the end of the first and in the middle of the second data log. Also attached are my tc map and kpro map.

If you disable launch control does it run as it should?

No, disabling launch control didn't not stop the behavior. I tried 4 runs with it off. I'm still getting that random high rpm cutout.
Re: S2000 Hitting artificial rev limit/power cut randomly above 6200 RPM
Post the calibration with it turned off and include a new datalog showing what it is doing.

Will do, I'm away on business for the next 5 days. I will post the logs and config as soon as I am back.

Re: S2000 Hitting artificial rev limit/power cut randomly above 6200 RPM
Sorry it took a while...
I was able to capture two logs with the RPM cutout.
At the end of S2000SoSStageII38pulley nolc 071625 01
and in the middle of S2000SoSStageII38pulley nolc 071625 02
I turned off launch control for the run. The issue only pops up after the car is fully warmed up.

It appears to be your protection settings.

Re: S2000 Hitting artificial rev limit/power cut randomly above 6200 RPM
Turning off Fuel and Oil protection seems to have solved the problem. I just did a log and could not replicate the issue. Is there anything else I should change with protection?
Re: S2000 Hitting artificial rev limit/power cut randomly above 6200 RPM
That is up to you and how you set it up.
