- a specific description of the problem
When s300 is plugged into board it is showing signs of a short on an engine simulator and shuts off any functionality. No lights to s300 board either. When the s300 board is removed, signs of the short go away. We attempted this in three good ecus, all showing same problems. (all these ecus have been repaired and capacitors replaced).

Re: s300v3 issues
Have you plugged a socket tester into the ECU to see what lights show on the socket tester?
Re: s300v3 issues
PCS is orange
VTS is blue
ICM is yellow
All injectors are solid green
No other lights are on

Re: s300v3 issues
We did not plug one of those in. We have the engine sim plugged into the big plug
Re: s300v3 issues
A socket tester should be used to see if all the lights come on as they should.
Re: s300v3 issues
A digital voltmeter is used to test all the trace and dims on the board.
The lights go down when you plug the Hondata in indicating a short and gives no injector pulls or ICM it just kills the ECU.
The ecu boards are good. We put other hondata chips in and everything works.
