Where is R54 on P75 ECU????
Where is R54 on P75 ECU????
2 of my friends and I cannot find this resistor to save our lives. We couldn't even find the traces where it would be labeled. However, we did notice that the only thing we had to take out of the ECU was J12. If one of you could enlighten me, I would greatly appreciate it. thanks.

Yes, we confirmed this as well. We installed everything else and the s300 would only get detected as a "unknown USB device." So we took it off and converted back to stock. I did notice that the jumper is the only thing that really needs to get changed when switching between stock and hondata on this ECU though. We think that maybe the s300 USB interface card was not seated properly because the ECU works fine without it. This leads me to believe that there aren't any solder balls or any shorts on the mainboard. I'm gettin a spare ECU just in case, but I think I'll have to insert the pins into the hondata unit, then solder the whole shabang in place. I seriously doubt any traces got screwed up cuz my temperature never got over 150C.

hehe, i'm not using an iron. I am using a rework bench. basically, i can heat the ECU such that only the solder points I want to make get hot. Then I just blow PbSn solder paste into the through holes. The only other thing I can think of is to check all the connections from each pin where the s300 would sit to the rest of the ECU and make sure there is no short, b/c when using the ECU in stock mode, I wouldn't be able to tell if those connections were bad b/c J1 would be in J12. I'll post the pics I took on the scope when I get a chance. There is a little bit of solder spray, but not that much.
