Analog 0 for PLX

Post by Contella »

I see lots of advice here to NOT use a0 for 0-5v on S300, inability to run closed loop.
But for KPro the advice is..it's ok to use A0 for closed loop.

Is the platform what makes the difference?

I used A0 (just setting up new build) because of a youtuber saying it was a "cleaner signal" not going thru circuit board?
It appears D10 and clipping/de-soldering r136/138 is the way for closed loop in S300?

I will re-wire, but is he wrong about the signal?

Why would anyone want to use A0 for A/F? I assume for open loop only vehicle?

On the s300 you cannot run closed loop form the analog in puts on the s300 board. You must use the analog inputs on the ECU such as D10.

Yes, for K-Pro you can run closed loop from the analog input on the K-Pro.

I re-wired the gray wire from PLX into D10. Now the DM-6 Multi Gauge Doesn't show anything in the center of the gauge where it normally reads "AIR", "14.5" etc...Is there a setting I missed? It's a new gauge and worked before I rewired. The led's around the outer edge come on and do the swinging arc display when I turn on key.
This is a new ECU, new S300, new LSVTEC re-build, used the ITR basemap and have been making the recommended changes to get it to idle and try to eliminate DTC's.
I really appreciate the help, I'm a total newb. Car was on an S200 when it spun rod brg. from low oil.
Also my tach isn't working now if anyone can help me with something I may be forgetting...wonder if the ICM went bad siting for 4 years...

It sounds like you have some wiring problems since rewiring it. Go back and check the wiring that has to do with these items.

Thank You.
I checked the wiring, it's fairly straight-forward as you know. I'm going to reset the gauge.

Well, DOUBLE-CHECKED the wiring, you were correct again, Sir
I had de-pinned (using staples 👍) the 4 wire clip (3 used,) going to the display to run the wire down my pillar. Upon re-pinning, I had the ground plugged into the narrow band output! 🤷‍♂️
I now have a full-function display, go figure.
Thanks Again!

My tach inop was blue wire broken completely at dizzy plug. Wow.
Now I'm seing Jeff Evans say don't use D10, (I am viewing tuning tutorial) says hes seen problems.
I am inclined to leave it on D10 with resistors clipped.
Am I wrong?
