H22a4 IAB Polarity

Post by KingH22 »

Hello,

I have an OBD2a AUDM 5th gen prelude.

I am installing a JDM p72 OBD1 ecu with a Hondata s300 in it. Do i need to enable "invert IAB output" in Smanager? Or are the polarities compatible between OBD1 JDM p72 and OBD2a Prelude?

And does this invert iab checkbox remove the need to do this? https://www.hamotorsports.com/pages/obd ... b-polarity So no matter what I dont have to hack up the wiring in my car.

From looking around a bit, it seems that the JDM OBD1 P72 ecus output a positive signal for the IABs, that seems to be the same as what the AUDM OBD2a Preludes take. Is this true and does it mean no modification is required?

inverting the signal just means that instead of turning it on to activate it turns it off to activate.
