K20z3 intake manifold removal and install issue

Post by Francisco G *999 »

I have a 2007 Honda civic si and I just took of the intake manifold to give it a bit of cleaning. Everything was done right and easy and went pretty good. After finishing I noticed my car was not working up at all and stayed at 1 lime to 3 on the dash. Well I’ve done everything now and can’t fix this issue. I did not leave any rags or paper towels clogging anything. Impossible to place the gasket wrong but that’s all I can think of. I did find that the two throttle body coolant hoses were placed backwards. And fixed that placing the bottom one to the metal pipe and the top going to the side of the trans. I can’t figure this out if adding back the intake manifold when ok without any problem, also the revs don’t come down just keeps reving (fast) at 1k not settling down like it’s trying to finish working up. Ect 1 will nearly make it to 150. Ect 2 goes all the way up to 200. And that’s the issue I already just changed the thermostat in case it was stuck close causing no circulation but the problem is still there. I really think this is a circulation issue… just where would the problem be at? I’m going to remove the intake manifold again but I don’t think to find or see anything. Plus why is my throttle body staying. This is a coolant issue so I guess the car is trying to finish the cooling process but can’t and just staying there. The intake temp is up to 133 parked. When everything was ok driving it normal would be at 107. Please help anyone? I have no idea here.

You either still have a air leak somewhere or you have not completely bled the coolant.
