FlashPro standalone flash

Post by ctr_uk »

Hi,

I recently picked up a FlashPro for my fn2, all works great except flashing without a laptop attached.
Whenever i try flash using the program button the rev counter will get to between 4k and 7k and then fall back to 0.
The car is in recovery mode. I have to go get my laptop, hook it up and hit upload, then it works perfectly.

Is this a bug? an issue with my FlashPro? or normal? any advice would be awesome.
The car is a 2007 ctr, it has a new battery, not low on charge or anything.

From Help, About, what is the version of software you are using?

What is the serial number that is on the FlashPro?

With everything plugged in and the ignition in the on position, go to the Help menu and click on “send feedback”. Include a detailed description of the issue.

The error only occurs when used standalone, it flashes perfectly when hooked up to my laptop.
Will sending feedback provide anything useful? I'm happy to do it just thought id double check as the issue isnt an issue when the laptop is involved. Thanks again.

Tried today on latest software/firmware, same result unfortunately. Luckily I can still hook up my laptop to use it.

Kindve good news.I thought I'd try powering the flashpro with USB power, standalone flash worked first try!

So if I hook USB up to my radio I can successfully flash the ecu.

I guess there's something wrong but this workaround works.

With the USB unplugged, try uploading from the FlashPro again and if it fails, send feedback again with a detailed explanation of the issue.

Just sent a fresh report directly after a failed flash. Hope it helps, thank you
