K miata

Swapping a NA miata with a k24a2 out of a 08tsx. this will be the second engine going into it as i spun a rod bearing on test drive, replaced the all bearings and main bearings and spun the same bearing again. now i dont know if the motor already had the spun bearing to begin with or not. if i swap a fresh motor from a jdm supplier and throw it in. is it still safe to run it on the 08tsx base tune I was provided by Kpower or should i switch to a 04 as suggested on the kmiata installation guide website. not trying to have this problem happen again. any notes will help. getting the new motor tomorrow and gonna start swapping parts over.

spun a connecting rod on cylinder three on initial startup/test drive then the same one after I replaced everything inside the motor.

It depends on what the replacement engine is closer to. You should also datalog and see if there is any knock.
