Low Boost / High Boost switch not changing map

Post by AngryScottish »

Vehicle: Noble M400
Kpro Serial: 47206
Software: V4
ECU: 37820-PPA-A07; 2828-106215 OF15
Kmanager: 4.4.9

Issue:
I have a switch that grounds the EPS signal, that I am using to switch between low boost and high boost. I verify that this switch is functional when datalogging and see the EPS light comes on in kmanager.

I disconnected the boost controller to verify the boost controller is doing something, and get a base boost level of 8-12psi, depending on RPM.

With the boost controller connected, I get 20-25psi, regardless of the switch.

I changed the inversion setting in kmanager, still did nothing.

I'm guessing it's some setting or boost table, just not sure why it's not working.

Worst case scenario, Im gonna just tie my boost switch to the boost controller, since I cant seem to get kpro to manage the boost maps.

How do you have the boost controller plumbed?

One wire to B21
One wire to 12V, via fuse (7.5a).

Can you hear the solenoid buzz when active?

Yes I can, although pretty faint.

I'm able to get different boost levels by adjusting the duty cycle. That makes me believe the BC is functioning... but, I've been wrong in the past.

Update. Kpro doesn't adjust boost levels whatsoever. I'm currently have the car tuned by another tuner who can't get boost levels to change.

The only way I've had boost changes is by putting the BC on a switch that essentially turns off the BC and runs on wastegate spring pressure for my low boost.

Then, flip the switch to turn on the BC to get whatever boost level Kpro and the 3port MAC solenoid want to send. I'm tempted to wire up another output to the BC to see if something else might work to control the BC, since the EPS output won't

Post a current calibration and a datalog showing the issue.

I don't want to hijack the thread but I'm having a very similar issue. I have the ep3 ecu and it will only read the high boost table. Changing the high/low control to always on or always off has no change and I also have a switch wired to E16 and I've tried inverting the control here as well to no change. I can change boost with krpo but it I can't get it to use the low boost table.
