Best map tune

Post by Conrad217 »

Hello,

I’m a super newb to this side of the world of cars coming from muscle cars. I have a 2008 civic si with HR intake, plm headers with test pipe, and a invidia q300 catback exhaust. I don’t plan on doing anymore mods. I just want to get as much out of it N/A. What would be the best time to download until I can get it to a dyno?

Welcome to the forum and imports. I have had my share of both. The best thing to do is find a calibration with the mods closest to yours. Dial it it in to make sure it’s running safe until you get it properly tuned.

So I installed a map that is close to what I have and now when it idles it surges from around 300-1000rpms. When driving it drives normal it’s only at idle I have problems. It sounds like I have cams in it. Any suggestions on what I can do for it?

Log the car at idle to see what is going on. Post the calibration you are running and the datalog. I can take a look at it.

I am running the FG2/FA5, AEM V2 CAI
datalog0010.fpdl

I also used FG2/FA5 CAI, skunk2header, catback and it did the same.Hopefully I did that right. Let me know if there is anything else I need to do ED.

Post a physical copy of the calibration you used to create this datalog.

datalog001.fpdl
Hopefully this is it. I'm having a hard time with it.

The calibration file has the extension .Fpcal

When you open the calibration on your computer you need to select save as.
