Following a k24/20 motor NA build on a FA5/same ecu, that was once k20, tuned on boost, the car will not start up with the provided basemaps in Hondata for NA applications. The car only starts up with the saved calibration for boost from previous tuner that I have saved on file. Can someone give me an insight on why it's like this? I have no CEL. Car starts up fine but I'm just curious as to why it's set like this?
Set up as follow:
k24A stock block
z3 head with 2.2 cams and ST valvetrain, stock ports
Boost by gear 4 bar map sensor
Hybrid racing CAI
Full race 3" exhaust
ported IM by sbs
1200cc deatschwerks injectors with clips
all k20z3 sensors transferred over to k24a
50 vtc
all new timing components OEM
Hybrid racing fuel rail
Skunk2 alpha header with extension for o2
stock MAF
stock k20z3 TB

Re: using Turbo basemap for NA application
Its likely the car will not start with a base calibration as you are running a different MAP sensor and larger injectors. Secondly, I assume the turbo calibration is running in speed density while the base calibrations you have tried are running on the MAF.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the response.
