Dist error No start no spark

Post by b20vhulkdoor »

Cars current setup
99 integra ls sedan
B20v typer pistons gsr head stock cams
stock map
stock iat
skunk2 pro intake mani
skunk2 70mm throttle body
550cc grams injectors
obd2a aftermarket distributor
p75 vtec converted s300v3 Brand new
obd2a harness
ebay jumper harness

built the car last year and got it running decent on a basemap from hamotors just to at least drive back to my house from where I built it. car ran good for not being tuned properly for few weeks on stock fuel system (240cc injectors) until I installed new 550cc injectors and wired in new connectors, after install car ran on like 2 cylinders for a few seconds then stopped and never ran again, figured I botched the wiring so went through and redid it all and did a much better job. Set deadtimes and still have no start have no spark. I have had no check engine light or engine codes in my smanager. Verified I have fuel pressure as I can hear the fuel pump prime when I put the key in the ign and also have aem fuel pressure gauge on my rail. cant get it to hit at all even on starter fluid. After looking into my smanager I see I had my disterror active in my sensor list. I saw that and figured my dizzy went so I warranty the one I had and tried the new one they sent me and that didnt work either, I am aware that the aftermarket dizzys are junk but its hard to find oem ones and there all like 400 bucks. if I have to buy one I will but I had the car running before so I'm starting to think its some kind of wiring problem,

Where would be best to start diagnosing this? I'm only 19 this is the first car I've ever built so I'm very new to everything especially the whole wiring game I am still at the basics haha. I'm not sure about how to do the whole datalogging thing or if that will help you guys but if that's something that will help I can probably get that. I see other with this problem get recommended to try there ecu in another verified car but I don't know anyone else with a honda so I'm kinda on my own.

How can I verify my distributor wiring?

Some say obd2 dizzy should work fine others say i need a obd1 dizzy to match my ecu because it reads a different amount of pulses but my car has run before on the obd2 aftermarket dizzy?

any help is greatly appreciated

You need to find someone local that you can try your parts on their car to verify that they are working as they should. Process of elimination is the only way to find the issue. If it is a wiring issue you need to go over everything that you have touched and might need someone else to look at it that may see something you miss.

Did you do the wiring with the battery connected? Check all fuses under hood and under dash.
