6262 turbo 8th gen tune as bad as I think?

Post by dennis si »

On my 5th 8th gen Si. 1st boosted k20. Purchased it already boosted and "tuned" on dyno. Contacted the tuner to ask if he would unlock the tune for me and he said no which I understand. I have 3 years experience with FP street tuning my NA K20's from watching all the Hondata YT videos and any others I could find to educate myself. I am correct that 30 degree cam angle is where K20's are most efficient and make most power right? Thanks to FP iphone app I have watched closely cam angle, afr, ignition timing, and MAP. The "tune" on the FP I am locked to 10 degrees on low cam no matter the throttle position. I am attaching a datalog from the drive home from the grocery store in the wet. I am in the process of making a new calibration. My main concern is with ignition timing. I have watched as many videos as I could find with boosted k20's. I am attaching my calibration. I have not attempted to upload and start the engine yet... Also I know my current tune is "safe" at WOT, but not making the most power as I hit 11.0 AFR. I have seen most tuners say 11.7-11.8 makes most power yes? Thank you in advance! I locked my cam angle to 30 and set vtec to 7k low and high and am going to upload and try to get it running. Wish me luck!

Alright, got my injector opening times adjusted and I feel I got close. Went for a short drive and I am blown away how much low rpm power I have locked on 30 degree cam angle compared to the "tune" I had. Lots of work to be done still. Can someone take a look at my calibration and the datalog and let me know what you think?
