FK8 - What is P2261 turbocharger bypass control

Post by CarloT »

Hello,

I believe the US version doesn't have the option "P2261 turbocharger bypass control valve stuck closed enabled" under Calibrations->Miscellaneous

Seems to be on the Internal version on Hondata.

So what is this exactly and what does it do?

You should not worry about this unless you get an error.

I am experiencing a P2261 code, if solenoid is physically bypassed no code and car runs so smooth. Hook tubes back up to solenoid and the turbo starts to feel off, after some time the car codes p2261 and starts to act real jumpy. I have a feeling it may be faulty wiring to the solenoid itself causing the problem since I’ve already replaced the solenoid and bypass valve. Is there a way to set the solenoid to stay open and not try to manipulate flow to the bypass valve? To allow just straight flow to the bypass valve from the intake manifold?

Disabling the bypass to remove the symptoms of some other fault is not recommended.
