Morning all.
I am new to hondata, my ecu should arrive today K4pro.. whoop whoop
The engine is a K20 from a UK civic type R EP3, It is in a Toyota MR2 MK3
I have a question about first start up, before i start it up I want to know I have good oil pressure, Currently on my dash the oil light will not work (i have a convertor on its way but this will take some time to come through)
Is there a way on the Kmanager of reading that I have oil pressure, I believe the K20 just has a switch?
Its been a long build I just want to hear it start!
I do have a Bosch oil pressure switch on a sandwich plate installed, but i am not 100% sure about how to wire it in yet
I saw i need to wiring it into the E plug, wires 4 and 5 i think it was for the sensor 5v and ground.
Will I need to purchase some ECU pics for this or will the wires already be coming from the ECU i can just tap into? and simple easy help on this would be great
Many thanks for any help would be great. simpler the better :)

Re: MR2- K20 EP3 oil switch question
Hi ya.
More hunting. For oil pressure sensor I've added. I Nedd to take the 5v from e connector pin 5
Which is a yellow and blue cable.
I will then connect the ground and the input from the sensor to the new hondata analog card a01 ( red cable I belive) and the sensor ground to the black.
Does this all sound correct
Then I can set up the oil pressure in analog inputs and watch the actual pressure..
Thanks
Pete

Re: MR2- K20 EP3 oil switch question
I would recommend that you use a mechanical gauge for testing and first startup as you may have wiring issues or other issues which may not give an accurate reading right away and by then it may be too late.

Will do
With my bosch pressure sensor..
It's a oil temp and pressure sensor. I have wired it to my analogue input.
On the analogue input page. What would I out the conversion in?
Does it need to be custom?
Thanks
Re: MR2- K20 EP3 oil switch question
You would need to see if it uses the same conversion as other sensors in the list, if not you will have to enter custom values provided by the manufacturer.
