S300 v3 Lights

Post by Grimeyy »

Does anyone know what the lights on the s300 v3 indicate? D1 stays green ,D2 flashes red when datalogging it’s a solid red and D3 flashes green for a sec when I turn the ignition then goes out not sure if that’s what’s supposed to happen but for some reason it won’t show any sensor readings even tho I’ve tested all the connections to the ecu while the s300 was still attached. It was working before too which is even weirder.

Is J12 cut on the ECU?

Yeah J12 has been cut like I said it was working before I just want to know what the lights mean if anything because the green light on d3 was solid then I turned the car off and back on it will only flash for a second when the ignition is switched and the car starts but stalls immediately.

Post the calibration and a datalog showing the issue.

Sorry about the long delay between replies, I’ve used the same tune that I’m using now and started the afr tuning process so I know it isn’t the tune but one day it just stopped reading the Vehicle Speed then 2 days later no sensors showed any data. I’ve tested the ecu and I know the connections are solid the only thing I haven’t done was replace the capacitors. Do you think something like this could be caused by faulty capacitors? Does the D3 light have anything to do with those?

You can try replacing the capacitors, but we still need to see the calibration and datalogs showing the issue.

There is no datalog showing the issue because the computer isn’t getting any readings it’s all just blank but it says it’s online and I can press the button but nothing changes even say the battery volt is 0.0

Have you tried this s300 in a known working ECU?

No unfortunately I dont have anyone else to compare or test out my s300 on but it was perfectly running one day then all of a sudden it would stall as soon as I started it but after a couple tries it ran fine and I could datalog after a few minutes the D3 light went out and the car died. Ive posted what I could for calibration not sure if it will help much.

I also brought it to a tuner who tested the ecu with a socket tester and they were all good.

I just need to know if the D3 light means anything if not I can figure out the rest myself it just seems like it has correlation to my issue because it all started when that light went out. Thank you

You cannot really diagnose anything based solely off the lights on the s300.

Update it was the soldering on the 4 pin connection near the data logging port, seems the green light on d3 is linked to those 4 pins somehow because once the connection was fixed the light started working but only while the data logging cable is plugged in. Hope this helps anyone struggling in the future. Thanks you Spunkster for the work you do on these forums without you idk where we’d be
