TPS not reading S300v3 -5 60%

Post by Ek92many »

I have obd2a harness converted to odb1 with P28 ecu. From all the sites selling Hondata they say to cut/desoldier one leg of R136 and use D10 for wideband. I did this and everything worked accept TPS, the OBD2A pinout for D10 is the VCC2 voltage sensor input for your TPS, so then how can this work? I understand the work around is because its 5V and D14 doesn't go as high as 5v hence wrong readings people get with their O2. So Im confused then how does one wire this correctly because I also seen people using the added inputs on Hondata for wideband but running into issues there as well. Anyone have this running using the same set up please chime in. Thanks

D10 is referring to the OBD1 side of the adapter harness and not the OBD2 side.

Yes, I am aware of that and that is what Im speaking of as well. I ended up resoldering R136 back in and using Analog 0 for wideband. Tps is now green but setting it from the "read" I get 40 from closed and 110 wide open throttle.

Then you should adjust the TPS at the throttle to be as close to 0 as possible when closed.

Ive tried turning both directions, even when setting with dmm its still reading the same on hondata. Im not sure what im doing wrong. The tps sensor is brand new from speed factory. The sensor reads 0.818 on the bench and 1.834 plugged in testing it at the plug. Voltage is 4.50. Would a new calibration maybe fix it?
nm that didnt work either. Guess im out of options.

If you are unable to calibrate the sensor then it may need to be replaced.

Have you tried the parts and ECU on a known working vehicle?

im kinda remote, northern Michigan so I dont have an extra car or access to someone who does. There isn't a tuner any where up here either, planned on taking it to Jeff evans when it was finished but if this sensor will not read right im out of options at this point. Thanks for your help either way.

I unplugged the tps while everything is turned on and there's no error codes popping up so yea its not even seeing it. Maybe its the laptop, I can try a different one and see if i get different results.
