CSS to ECU

Post by Mal Gray »

Good morning, I have a K20Z4 installed in a Lotus Elise. It goes like a rocket! I am unable to get vehicle speed reading from the CSS to the ECU. I have selected "no speed sensor" in Hondata Kpro V4 parameters, in order to retain Vtec function. Unfortunately, this causes REV lockout to be permanently engaged, so I must either disconnect the REVSL, or switch off the ignition to engage reverse. I mainly drive on track, so this is not a major problem.
My question is, "Does the constant vehicle speed of 80 kph have any influence on engine functions eg Vtec?" If not, I will just continue to switch off to go backwards!!

It will keep any gear-based adjustments from working.
