Crank-No start Coolant gauge dimmed

Post by Fijibluefg2 »

So ran into an issue after datalogging my 8th gen as I just finished installing a turbo kit. Shut the car off in the driveway to let cool down and email the tuner the log I recorded, Attempted to start the car again and realized the Fuel pump was no longer priming, the coolant gauge has dimmed and I have no communication the ECM. Read in some other forums to check Output speed sensor and O2 sensors, unplugged output speed sensor and problem still persists. Checked all fuses and relays (Under hood and Under Dash) all check good. Checked ECM Power and Ground, both are good, found pin a44 (pink S-net) wire does not read 5v with key off as specified from Honda ETM. Found immobilize light is also not immitted with either key I own, Im at a loss, checked pin 16 and grounds at DLC aswell and all check good. When attempting to connect FP it only shows Drivers with a green check and the FP device blinks. any help is much appreciated wondering if ECM or Immobilizer is bricked.

Unplug the Oxygen sensors and see if it will start. If it does check the wiring for damage as it may have melted and shorted out.

If the ECU and OBD2 are still not detected, then there is a wiring issue somewhere and since a turbo has just been installed heat could be an issue. You will have to go over all the wiring and see what may be damaged or disconnected.

so I'm on my third revision now and I haven't seen any signs of damaged wiring as everything is wrapped in fiberglass. Im continuing to Check grounds.
