Used Flashpro and A21 ECU on 05 TSX (Registration Question)

I just purchased a used A21 ECU and Flashpro which are registered to each other. I’m installing into my 05 6MT TSX along with the Hondata CAN adapter. My question is, how is the Flashpro linked/registered to the ECU? Is it based on VIN or serial number? I just want to make sure that when my VIN is applied to the A21 ECU, that it doesn’t lock out the Flashpro. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Unlock the FlashPro from the ECU before programming the VIN.

Thanks… I just want to confirm that I should be able to do that immediately upon plugging in the used A21 ECU. I wasn’t sure that I would be able to unlock the Flashpro prior to immobilizer and VIN programming.
