Looking for a bit of guidance with a K24

Post by Ventolin5 »

Hello,
I have been searching for information on what base tune I should be using for my K24A1. I started it up with the accord base tuneas I could not find an A1 tune on the Kpro software. It ran but just barely, I had to feather the throttle to keep it running. Really excited that it runs.

I would like to get it to run better to be able to get it over to the closest tuner. It’s in a 94 civic hatch (not sure that matters) has a new KPRO-V4, 4-2-1 header, k tuned throttle body(60mm I believe).

Is there another base tune I should be using? Brand new to Kpro by the way. Appreciate any help.

I purchased a new Kpro-v4 PND auto (PND-A53)
I’m Kmanager- Do I have to select a base map from the PND Ggroup? I used- other vehicles/k24 accord instead of one from the PND drop down menu.

if u have 2.4 i would use a 2.4 map like PRB tsx but you probably need to make some changes did you check a datalog to see what is going on

Hi Mondecruel,
Thank you for the response, I got her running on the prb-tsx map. Was just curious about running a K24A1 on a TSX map as the cams are different. What are you thinking needs to be changed on the map? I’ve pretty much duplicated all parameters from the accord map and seems to be doing ok.
Also that page you linked does have the info I need for VSS analog connection so you’re correct on 2 counts.

Cams yes you are right A/F ratio is probably not correct + vtc tables with tsx map, if you have o2 sensor you can adjust fuel, i dont think vtc tables are something to be worry about till you get to the tuner.
ALSO i read k24a1 injectors are 270cc ? So maybe keep the same injectors settings as k20a3 (270cc) maps about dead times( tsx map is 310cc).

I forgot, gear ratio under gear comp in parameters to select your transmission.

How is everything going? I have the same engine, got it from a 2005 CRV.
