Request for a basemap or e-tuner suggestion for a stock 2006 fg2 with just a q300 exhaust

Post by eddstarrr »

Hello Hondata Family,

I'm looking for a basemap or an e-tuner for my 2006 Honda FG2. I used to have VitViper as my previous e-tuner, but I believe he's not tuning Honda's anymore (please correct me if I'm wrong). The current mods are just a Invidia q300 exhaust. Would love to lower my vtec and eliminate the stock rev hang in addition to functionality on the mods that will be added throughout owning the vehicle. Any helps or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum,

You can start off with a Hondata base calibration with the mods closes to yours. If you plan to get it tuned I recommend you install all of your parts so you save on retune fees.

Hi Ed,

With just a Invidia q300 exhaust, should I just upload a stock base map onto it? Will it have the lower vtec range and elimination of rev hang already applied to it? What’re your thoughts? Do you recommend any good e-tuners or have any information on good east coast tuners? Central NJ / Eastern PA based. Thank you.

You would have to apply the changes you want to the Hondata base calibration. I don’t know any tuners on that side. I know some people use ETunez. You can also check out the Instagram in my signature.
