Running a k pro with no transmission

I’m currently installing a k24 into a Jetboat - which will be powered by a cl7 / k pro ecu.
As I will not be running a transmissions ( Jetboat is direct driveshaft to flywheel) I will have a few wires and plugs redundant and was planning on removing from the loom.
My question how ever is with out the transmission plugged in will this affect the ECU speed. I have read about low and high frequency speed sensors which are linked to the ecu and gauge.. can this be disabled in k pro? Or will having no transmission mess up my ECU
