Hondata LPFP Fuel Pump, daily driving

Post by J_D »

Hey all,
quick question about the Hondata LPFP: https://hondata.com/products/fuel-syste ... uage=en-gb

I have a 2020 FK8, bone stock. My current OEM fuel pump is failing after hot drives resulting in the P0087 code. Honda has no replacement parts yet.
Is the Hondata pump okay for regular daily driving, say for winter/summer driving?

I'm assuming it's an OE equivalent that can just flow more fuel + take ethanol? On a stock car it would act like a "stock" pump?

Reason I am asking is I wanted to confirm it's okay for long term daily use, like sitting in traffic, versus say shorter sprints like track use/lapping.

I’m having the same issue with my 2019 fk8 I’m on my third factory pump and it seems like they keep putting in the same shitty recall pumps. Getting tired of paying $200 for a tow to the dealership every time. If you did the upgrade install let me know if your car is good or if you had any issues since. I’m considering doing the swap like you. Mine is also a daily driver not a track car.
