Hondata & AEM Gauges Issues

Post by T03KNEE »

So I got my hondata ecu installed and tuned and everything now, however, when I set up some AEM gauges, (water temp and oil pressure), I can't figure out how to get them to show accurately on the computer so the ecu can show me what it sees on my laptop as well as the gauges. I had replaced my oil pressure switch with an oil pressure sensor for my oil pressure gauge, but after installing and wiring everything up all I get is "SenS" on the gauge, I'm not sure if it's bad sensor placement or a bad sensor or what but I can't see my oil pressure. My water temp sensor was connected where my oem ECT sensor was but is now disconnected so the ecu can use the ect sensor, I would like for the ecu to replace the ect sensor with my gauge sensor and work almost like a wideband where the sensor sends information to the gauge and the computer so I can use that sensor as my ect sensor in a way but I'm not sure how possible or difficult that would be. Also another sidenote is that I noticed the information on my wideband itself is different compared to what it says on hondata when datalogging and looking at the live information (I'm not all too concerned however I mean the computer runs the car just fine with it so I'm sure it's just a difference in units or the conversion table was off by a decimal or something simple like that)

I just want to be able to have all my gauges working properly and accurately while being able to work with my computer so I see what the computer sees when it looks at the information on my engine.

You need to keep the OEM sensors as they are needed for the ECU to read correctly. If you want to add additional sensors then you must install them in different locations, and they cannot be used in place of the original sensors. They can only be used for datalogging purposes or for setting advanced protections.
