KPro V4 A/C wiring

Post by double_ortiz »

Hello all,

I'm trying to get my A/C running in my K24-swapped '94 EG hatch. I have a tucked A/C Line kit installed with RSX Type-S Compressor. I have the K-Tuned Engine and Swap harnesses installed, and have 3 extra Aux wires that I intend to use for this purpose. Which connections do I have to make or break to get my A/C Compressor to engage when needed? Do I need a pressure switch? If so, which one, and where do I wire it? Last but not least, I am currently using 2 fans for my radiator/condensator (they're behind each other), should I wire both to the KPro to activate by coolant temperature, or should I wire one for temperature, another one for A/C on/off? I've tried to research this, but all I find are really vague answers. Thank you in advance!

You would need to use the VTP as the AC switch input.

Details can be found in the helpfile at: https://hondata.com/help/kmanager/miscp ... ghtsub=vtp

There should be a switch to detect pressure in the system to keep it from running when conditions are not right.

It is recommended to have the fans controlled by a thermo switch externally form the ECU.

Thanks for your reply! I'll follow that thread you posted for the A/C.

I'll contact K-Tuned next week to check what controls the fan plug on their harness, whether is the ECU or is guided by a thermo switch.

Thank you again!
