Lean Protection and OBDII

Post by nrzforce »

Does Lean Protection work if OBDII is disabled?

For example I had lean protection on for my N/A 02 rsx-s with only a SRI and lean protection would kick in right around 5k. I put a JRRH and Megan Cat back exhaust on. Set the trigger time from stock to 550ms and disabled OBDII and now it never goes lean. Is this b/c of the header/exhaust? Trigger time? or OBDII?

OBD2 should hav enothing to do with the lean protection. You will have to look at your datalogs and see if the reason that you aren't hitting a lean cut is because you are no longer going lean.
