Help with a tune

Post by Mswigart »

I'm looking some help on a tune for my 2013 si.
right now I have an afe takeda intake, plm 3in catted exhaust and a 3in invidia exhaust.
I plan on rbc swapping and a bigger throttle body and bigger injectors soon. So I just did a stock re flash and the car is running good, should I leave it where its at till I get the other upgrades or tune now? I'm also very new to this tuning software. Thanks!

For now the Hondata calibration is ok. Just make sure the car is running safe. Later on when you swap the injectors you will need a custom tune unless Hondata has a base calibration you can modify with the injectors you will upgrade to. If you are a DIY person use Hondata basemaps and modify them otherwise a custom tune is ideal.

Thanks, that's all really helpful. I am a diy person and trying to learn as much as I can on this side of building.
As far as I can tell everything is running fine I have no CEL's and drivability is normal and it seems like I made a little power, I did a few 3rd gear pulls but haven't beat on it and I haven't drove it real hard at all the past two days.
If I were running too rich or too lean wouldn't that throw a CEl? Or should I be monitoring for that?
Thanks again.

I suggest you check the AFR at wide open throttle.
