Transistor Getting Stupid hot and causing lag

I am pretty comfortable working with PCB boards I am just no expert and the flashpro is a 800 dollar board so I’m looking here for advice. One of the 3 leg transistors is generating a lot of heat when I go to flash a tune. No heat when powered on just when interacting with my cars ecu, such as dataloging and flashing a tune. What would cause this on the 8th gen si’s flashpro. Is it an issue with my cars ecu trying to draw a lot of current or would this be more of a shorted resistor. Any advice would be appreciated feel like I’m in the dark

It causes the software to lag on my windows 10 but once I unplug the flashpro lagginess instantly goes away and once I let it cool it functions normally till she over heats again. It’s clearly a lot of current being drawn somewhere but what on this specific board would cause this. I emailed hondata support and no one has responded. Just looking for a few ideas to get started with

2008 civic si. Drivetrains never been pulled only mod is a cold air. Few weeks ago had an issue with my flash pros three legged voltage reg. Getting hot and causing issues like crashing my flash pro manager. Sent it to hondata was told something was grounding out to the flash pro. I’ve been in search for a short or wiring issue of some kind and only hint I’ve had of one is the temp gauge literally dissapearing or showing an incorrect or impossible reading( top half is full bottom half is empty?). I’ve verified the ecu works by slapping it in my 10’ lx auto. And it starts and dies once the immobilizer kills it. Tried my lx auto ecu in the si and same thing crank no start and my temp gauge is non existent. Ik u can’t give me an answer over an internet post but I am in need of some advice or direction. Car started fine before I pulled the ecu and battery and let it sit for a week. I’ve had this issue before when it threw an ecu surge protector overload but the issue went away then and now it’s back worse than ever I’d assume. Had a melted tailight connector as well I’m not sure if they’d be the same issue or not but I figured I’d include it

I’ve sent the fp in by now and the tech support has verified the unit to be operational and advised me to check for an issue with something grounding to the diagnostic port
