Tune modifications

Post by wmarkham1 »

So I had my Car tuned by EFICalibrations back a good year or so.
It was tuned for a 3 inch K-Tuned short ram. It ran super nice with plenty of power.

I Finally got around to putting on a less restrictive “exhaust”.
What tuning modifications would I need to make to see more power? EFI was very knowledgeable about not needing to go past 30°VTC timing until the engine could exhale correctly. Should I just import the tables from another “...” map and call it good? Or is a whole tune in order?

Have you discussed this with your tuner?

I emailed him, but I’m not sure if he is still on here and tuning our precious Hondas and acuras. His tunes were so solid.

I would think the VTC is the only thing that I would need to change as the fueling and ignition is perfect. I will load up a ... tune on my laptop tomorrow to see what the VTC numbers look like.

Make sure he tuned the VTC tables above 30. It possible you might have to make fuel and timing changes.
