Daughter Board Communication Error

Post by ekhybrid »

I did a search, but it really doesn't help. And none of them had support from HONDATA. Saturday my car ran fine. I get this code, now the car doesn't start. The starter just clicks. Sometimes it'll crank, and other times it does not. I did a security erase check, and It still pops up. I don't know what else to do. Im still trouble shooting the problem. IT sucks because I paid $860 for my K-pro that I've only had for about a week and a half and now the damn thing is acting up. Can anybody help me out? Including HOnDATA. THANK YOU.

When you clear security, does it give any errors? If it does not, does it upload a fresh calibration without errors?

no errors. Now I can't start it. Could my starter be burned out? sorry I don't know much about starters.

Is the immobilizer enabled or disabled? Does the starter turn the engine, or does nothing at all happen? More details please.

Immobilizer is disabled. The starter just clicks. I had that smae problem when I was doing the first startup. One of the wires that is connected to the starter was disconnected. I went back to see if that was the case, but its still attached. Could the starter be shot? Also when Im trying to start the car, the Hand brake Indicator light comes on but goes off after I stop.

Sounds more like a dead battery, try charging the battery or jump starting the car and letting it charge for a while.

New battery same sh**! I still get the error code. Can somebody tell me why I get this error? Is it the harness Im using, Hybrid-racing, or is it the circuit board? I've tried everything. Why won't it start? The starter clicks when I do try. Could it be a bad starter? Thank you for your help.

The starting circuit is not related to the ECU. ie the engine should crank with the ECU removed. If you want us to check the KPro call and arrange to send it in.

Thank you for replying HONDATA. I would be willing to send it out. I lost my phone over the weekend. When I get my hands on a phone, should be by wednesday, I'll give you a call. The car will not crank with the ECU out. The starter just clicks. I've been told that maybe the solenoid is sticking, bad starter, bad ignition wire, etc..I added another ground wire to see if that helped, but it did not. Im getting to a conclusion that its my starter. But I don't know if thats really it. I hope its not the wiring. I still get the error code as well. I'll make sure I give you a call. If you can leave a number or a link to where I can reach you, that would be greatly appreciated.

ok update. The car cranks now, but will not run. I modified the connection where I had the Inline fuse at. After that, the car cranked. I guess my inline fuse I was using wasn't giving a good connection. Now on to the new problem. The car will not start. Im in the process of doing a volt meter test, but Im not sure how I to do the continuity test. Where do I test at? If anbody can give me any ideas why my car does not start that would be appreciated. Thank you.
