Online ignition on error.

Post by Jbrracer »

Having issues with another k pro.

When I plug into pc with the ignition off everything seems fine I can see the info screen and everything seems right. See photo one.

As soon as I turn the ignition on it stays online and in the bottom left of reads online and drivers installed and error.
I can’t upload, download or clear the ecu and kmanger seems to go unresponsive and slow.

I’ve completed removed kmanager and reinstalled, the car runs with the problem ecu.

With my other kpro, I have no issues at all everything works as expected.

I’m hoping someone has some insight that doesn’t include me receiving an RMA. Racing season starts next weekend.😢😢😢

Update

If I unplug the data cable from the pc, it goes off line and when I plug it back in it doesn’t go back to online.

Are you using resistor or non-resistor type spark plugs?

It looks like this K-Pro was sold as an install kit to HA Motorsports and could be an installation issue. I would recommend that you have them look at it.

That’s correct I was the original purchaser, it’s well outside their warranty period and did work last fall.

Could I swap my working prb ecu for the non working one using the same non working kpro? I thought about trying it but had concerns of damaging a good setup.

You will have to have HA Motorsports take a look at this since they installed it.

The problem occurs when the ignition is turned on, which could indicate a communication or compatibility issue between the K-Pro and the vehicle's electrical system.

Hello spunk,

Thanks for all your help with my previous issues. I truly appreciate it.

I wanted to ask a question and get a strait from the source.

I have a k swapped 1990 civic hatch using a 04 rsx m/t harness as you can tell I have a damaged ecu and with the current economy another prb is out of the question right now. I’ve found a pnd-a59, I don’t need the vss or reverse lockout for my use case. I’m currently running a bone stock k20 from a type s and have a built k20 on the engine stand.

My question is will the pnd-a59 work for my situation.

Thanks again, I can’t imagine what you go through answering questions and forum responses every day.

Thanks again

hey any updates with this, I have the same exact probiem. I sent my kpro out to hondata, they put it in another rsx and they said it worked perfectly fine. even drove the car with my ecu. when I got the ecu in return I'm having these same issues. key on and it saids error next to driver and goes offline. if I turn key off and unplug usb and reconnect usb it works fine until I put ignition onto key on the fuel primes and instantaneously throws the error code everytime. please let me know if you found an solution to this.
