ECU not storing readiness monitors status

Post by Boostjunky »

Can anyone lend a guy a hand here? Any and all insight would be useful. 99-00 ek civic. K24A2 swap (jdm k24a). Kpro v4. I am having an issue where the readiness monitors are resetting every time I cycle the ignition off and on. I did some digging and found that the main relay is not getting ground for whatever reason. I am using an OEM rsx type s engine harness with a hybrid racing cabin harness. My CAN gauge is also losing memory to the ECU every cycle of the ignition as well. I can reload the tune and the gauge works properly until I cycle the ignition then it loses connectivity status again.

I am aware that the E7 pin is part of the same circuit that stores the readiness codes. Even when I run ground directly to the main relay, I am still having the same issue. I must also add, besides me finding this issue, the car runs perfectly. Starts every time, runs and drives smooth, no issues at all. I contacted hybrid and in their troubleshooting confirmed there is no issues with the cabin harness. I cant help but feel this is a grounding issue but at the 3 grounding points from the engine/engine harness to chassis, readings are perfect with battery voltage. As stated, not using a swap harness...its an OEM 02-04 rsx type s harness (or so I was told). Regardless if it was a later model type s harness, I would assume the car wouldnt run properly, and thats not the case here. PLEASE HELP...ANYONE!?

You should try our ECU in another vehicle and see if it is properly powered. If it does, then you know you need look at your wiring further.
