D15B7 calibration

Post by writetrent01 »

Hey i just bought a 91 LX with an engine and trans from a 95 DX
D15B7 and its got an S300 po6 ecu
My main issue is that i have an error code 21 vtec spool but this is not a vtec head???
So i asked on the D series forums and they told me to just go into hondata and disable vtec
Which i tried to download the current calibration that is loaded on to my ecu
I just click download and it doesn't do anything at all. Which makes me think that its a protected calibration or something of that sort.
I saw that there is a stock D15B JDM calibration on the preloaded calibrations on Hondata but i didn't know if that would completely screw up mine as mine is a USDM D15 as far as i know.

What do i do here?
The vtec code never goes away even if i clear it and its not causing the motor to not run right. It runs just fine, just an annoyance.
I have a datalog if anyone wants to see but like i said i just can't download the current calibration for some reason.

Thanks

I would recommend that you try to get the unlocked calibration from whoever tuned it. If you cannot, then you will need to start with a new calibration and properly tune it.

Could i use the JDM d15 preloaded calibration as a starting point?
