2007 FA5 flash review

Post by RuthLessMike »

hello,
i finally got my Flashpro connected and laptop for the Flashpro manager and uploaded the FG2/FA5, CAI, Skunk2 header & catback Flash onto my Flashpro and into my ECU. I am immediately pleased with it as i didn't like seeing the CEL on for my second o2 sensor and this allowed me to turn it off, as well as the car feeling different with VTEC engagement lowered after 1st gear and staying engaged through gear changes up the power band. I see/read some great discussion on this forum and have been watching many videos on how to Tune my car with Flashpro. i love learning and figuring things out but i am also weary of messing something up. what are the best videos out there in your opinion? I've watched the tuning by nick video and it had some good info. I do plan on taking the car to get tuned once I've saved up some money again.....maybe injectors first, then save up again.
My car is a 2007 Honda civic SI sedan with Skunk2 Alpha header, K&N typhoon intake, and the Invidia Q300.
I've included a datalog of Red light idle and pulling through the gears at WOT (datalog 0000) as well as
driving down the street through gears (datalog 0001). not sure if a datalog should be longer or the best way to capture it. hopefully someone can take a look and give some advice or make any tweaks. I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks in advance for your time!

The car overall is running lean. The MAF needs to be adjusted. Adjusted you can normal drive the car. On these cars when you switch the intake you need to switch over to speed density. Since you like to learn i suggest you look into that. For now i suggest you do not wide open throttle the car as you are running very lean at WOT.

Thank you very much for your reply CalibratED....... I see that you help a lot of people on this forum.......I appreciate that alot ......I miss the old forum days of internet community........ You are awesome...... I did see that most times a tuner will do what you said and I have made some slight adjustments to this "flash/Map" but haven't uploaded to my car.......luckily I haven't had to drive it too much so I hope the engine is ok....... I do intend on going to a local tuner here in the Antelope Valley (Freddytuned @OneWay Performance) but not sure when that will be.
Thank you again for your response

Not a problem. I am happy to help. I’m sure the car will feel completely different once it’s properly tuned.

Did you end up getting it locally tuned or is it running a basemap? The code it’s producing is related to the MAF sensor.
