No. When I first open up manager after barely installing it.
I get an error in the left hand corner that's says "driver not installed" "offline"
This is when I open the k manager for the very first time. First time as in I just downloaded the program and open the manager for the very first time with no USB cords plugged in. So laptop has no connection to the ECU. First time opening k manager.
It shows no USB drivers installed. My question is shouldnt the software that is downloaded from hondata site have all drivers installed? I've done this same process in 3 laptop with exactly the same results.

Device manager does not show anything kpro related. When the USB cord is plugged in it does not show anything kpro related and the USB port when plugged in shows "usb serial converter" as the name associated with the USB plug that is connected to the ECU.

When I got to help, then test USB
It gives an error of
"The ecu USB information is incorrect (recovery pid) do you want to update the ECU USB information.
I press yes and I get
"Updating the ecu USB information has failed "
Then gives directions
1. Unplug ecu
2. Uninstall all hondata and ftdi USB devices drivers from control panel
3. Uninstall all hondata and ftdi USB devices drivers from device manager
4. Plug in ECU. Ensure device drivers are loaded from manager
5. Follow USB installation

Do all of that except when I access device manager after downloading and installing k manager there are no kpro device drivers listed. Nothing kpro related

Hi All.

Yesterday I was playing around with the Kpro3, at some point the Kmanager froze and i had to disconnect the usb. After that i can't connect again to it.
The software is showing that the driver is installed . even with another laptop.

A window pops up showing ;
Windows Explorer
USB device not recognized
The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it.

Device manager shows;
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems Code 43
A request for the USB device descriptor failed.

Could it be i fried the ftdi chip ? has anyone encountered this problem ?

Thanks
