Can't download calibration (S300 v2) SManager v2.8.3

I just had my car tuned and I am trying to download the calibration but it doesn't seem to do anything. I am borrowing an S300 v2 from my tuner and I need to download the calibration so that I can upload this to another S300 and give him back his v2. Using the laptop I can connect to the ECU, go "online" and datalog but downloading doesn't do anything. It looks like I can load maps fine but I don't want to accidentally upload and lose my latest calibration.

I saw a post about unchecking "automatically store the calibration after uploading", which I have done but it's the same thing, there is no activity, no progress bar, nada... when I attempt to download the calibration. Any help would be appreciated! I need a copy of this calibration saved ASAP.

If you have unchecked the option to store the calibration, then there will not be anything to download.

I'm confused. We just dyno tuned a few days ago and I drove the car home so the map is on the ECU. What am I missing here?

If that option to store the calibration was not checked then you will not be able to download the calibration form the ecu as it is not there to download. There is a difference between storing the calibration and just uploading to the ECU.

That option was already checked on my first attempt to connect and download the map. I only unchecked it after googling the issue and stumbled upon some older posts. Is there an alternative method to get the calibration that is uploaded to the ECU?

Have you checked with the tuner to see if they can email you the calibration?

My tuner got back to me and he has a copy of the tune. I was planning on buying the S300 v2 from him to replace a defective S300 v3 that I have (more on that below) but I'm hesitant to buy it if I am unable to download calibrations. Moving forward what is the proper software setup to make sure that the map I upload to the ECU is downloadable?

Separately, I've been having intermittent issues with my S300 v3 unit where I cannot get my laptop to recognize or connect to the board. So to tune my car we used my tuner's S300 v2. Whenever we swapped back to the S300 v3 board to attempt to tune we kept getting issues where we cannot connect to the ECU. When we were able to connect to it, the map we had tuned previously was showing AFRs all over the place when we did pulls. Also, even while idling we'd see the car run rich and then back to stoic randomly. When we swapped to the tuner's S300 v2, everything works flawlessly and we saw AFRs that we were expecting. This eliminated the ECU as the problem so the S300 v3 has issues.

Can you guys fix the S300 v3 board?

As long as you have it checked to automatically store the calibraiton when you upload then you should be able to download the calibration unless you delete it. It is a good idea to keep your calibration saved on the laptop just in case you ever need to reupload for some reason.

What is the other s300 serial number?

Can you post a picture of the USB connector on the s300 in question.
