I've just installed an S200 on my D16Z6 VTEC 5-speed with a P28 ECU.
I think I soldered everything in correctly, picture is included.
The Hondata unit's LED is inside the box, indicating a 1st gen (older)hondata? The LED is flashing off every 3 seconds. The hondalogger is showing 2 err/s at which i cannot figure out what they are.
It will not even pull up my ECU information in the "CU Info" I get a "connection error" in the Serial Number Box.
The car does start and run, but very rich.
I am connecting the Serial cable to the laptop thru the serial port.
I just installed a Bosch 4 wire O2 sensor before I connected the Hondata Unit. I also "Chipped" the ECU before installing the Hondata (its an Ebay purchase on that) the ROM is programmed with a base fuel map, i'm guessing its exactly the same as my factor ECU map. I'm stumped as to what else to check.
Let me know what else I should check or any other info you need.
Thanks

Hondata S200 not connecting to the ECU

Ok, that is a regular s200...i was just making sure. It sounds like you have either not properly burned a basemap, or you have no basemap. There is also the possibility that you have problem with the ecu socketing. Have you removed jumper J12? Can you also post pictures of the bottom of the ecu where you soldered in the socket. You might want to contact yoru dealer about getting a basemap.
