Post by amontecinos »

Any Hondata base map you use will need some adjustments. Start with one with mods closes to yours and dial in the fuel and timing.

I have the same question... 9th gen civic si skunk2 CAI... will the PRL CAI base tune work till I get my exhaust on and get a proper tune or mail tune?
Thanks in advance.

It should work for normal driving only once it’s dialed in. When you switch to an aftermarket intake you need to run it in speed density.

To do that I just unselect AFM and select "use speed density/ MAP" under fuel table type?

Yes, that’s correct. When you do that it’s going to be a bit more work as now you have multiple fuel tables to tune. Sometimes it’s easier to find a calibration that’s already running in speed density and dial it in.

If you search on the forum there might be a few floating around. Whatever base calibration you decide to run I can help you make it run safe until you get it properly tuned. Just create your own thread.
