My windows computer is not detecting my s300 chip. I’ve updated to the most recent version of smanager and updated drivers with a, known, good s300. I tested this by plugging in another s300 to the same computer. Also, I was able to start a car with the ecu. This setup has been sitting for 3 years with no usage. Is it possible that it needs to be flashed?
Please help.
S300 V3 won’t connect or show up in windows/smanager
Re: S300 V3 won’t connect or show up in windows/smanager
What is the serial number that is on the s300 board inside the ECU?
From Help, About, what is the version of software you are using?

Re: S300 V3 won’t connect or show up in windows/smanager
Are any lights coming on, on the s300 board when you plug in the USB, or turn the ignition to the on position?
Re: S300 V3 won’t connect or show up in windows/smanager
Yes.
There are 3 leds on the board. Two by the usb port and one in the upper right side. When I plug it in to the computer I get 2 green lights (upper right and bottom by the port). Then the bottom light turns off after a second or two. The upper right light stays on.
Now my good s300 chip does the same. However when the bottom light switches off, there is a flickering red light on the led right above it (the top one by the port).
I don’t have a car right now to test it on but there were solid green lights on when I plugged it into my friend’s car. If need be, I can get ahold of my friend again to test it.
I hope I’ve described this in a way that is easily understandable.
Please advise.

Re: S300 V3 won’t connect or show up in windows/smanager
What happens if you plug in the s300 to the laptop without it connected to the ECU in any way?
Re: S300 V3 won’t connect or show up in windows/smanager
The previously stated happens when inside the ecu as well as outside the ecu. No change from removing the chip.
