VSS Malfunction Help

Setup:
1999 Honda Civic
K24/K20 swap
X2M5 transmission
Rywire engine harness
Hybrid Racing conversion harness
PND ECU with Kpro v4

Issue:
After approximately 5 minutes of normal driving I get a CEL with error code P0500 VSS malfunction. The gauge cluster speedometer is fully operational.

Attempted repairs: Verified continuity of associated circuits, replaced VSS with brand new Honda unit.

Any ideas on what to try next? I’m at a loss.

How are you inputting the VSS signal into the ECU?

Does the software ever see a VSS reading when datalogging?

I do see a speed readout in datalog initially and once the CEL comes on the speed reads a constant 3MPH. Speedo works fine 100% of the time.

This thread was promising as the issue/setup sounds similar but the fix does not seem applicable based on the described “check boxes” not being available in current Kpro manager software version:

Post the calibration as well as a datalog showing it reading normally that also shows when the error occurs.
